Tactile and elegant bespoke light designed in collaboration with PS Lab

Hill Harvey-Wood rose to the challenge of combining style and function for the design of a bedside light for use in sophisticated residential and hospitality projects. The development partner for our Kensington & Chelsea apartment was frustrated by a lack of products that fit this description and commissioned Hill Harvey-Wood to design a robust and refined wall mounted bedside reading light for use in the project. Working closely with PS-Lab the studio created a versatile fitting with understated elegance and tactility. The oversized stem and back plate provides continuous contact with the wall or bedhead lending the fitting a stability and feeling of quality often lacking in alternative products. The light can be directed and dimmed by rotating the bronze shade, and in common with our architectural projects this design is as much about experience and feeling as much as aesthetics.
